Welcome to Castle Johnson Publishings: An Introduction and Newsletter

We, at Castle Johnson Publishings, are named after and in honor of a “fictional” castle in Scotland.

The word “fictional” is put in quotes here because if you really think about it, we all have a Castle Johnson in our hearts.

A place that is near and dear to us. Warm like a summer’s sweet embrace. Like a kiss on the cheek from a soft breeze over the lake. Or the sweetest vista you ever did see.

Or maybe it’s the dark and mysterious structure ahead of you, looming in the distance. Lightning crackling behind it as the violins play. Faster and faster! No, the treble clef of doom!

And it’s getting closer… Now, it’s to your left. No… it’s on your right!

OMG… IT’S RIGHT BEHIND YOU!!!!!!

Duh, Duh, Duhhhhhh!!!!

But in kind-of sort-of seriousness, no matter where this Castle Johnson of yours actually lies, it’s in your life for a reason. So, open those doors and find out why.

And if you want to hear the stories of this particular Castle Johnson: the cute, the intense, the sad and the funny, prepare yourselves a snack and some tea, story time is here. From a few names (but most definitely the same person wearing many fun hats) and one sworn oath to defend the land from tyranny, evil dragons and boredom.

Sincerely,

Mike Casey, Mike Cassey, Miike Casey, MC, M Monroe Casey and Pen McNamey

Sept. 2025: The Council

We, the Knights of Castle Johnson, are here to have this briefing of the meeting today to better communicate our goals as a whole collective. Up until now, we have operated on a “need to know” basis and we’ve unfortunately deemed that all outside our ranks were on the “don’t need to know” side of things. But according to our leader, Mike Casey, we should no longer operate like that because “now, it’s imperative that Castle Johnson is finally opening up its door to the whole interested and curious world outside.”

When asked about this, Mike Cassey dreamed up a whole scenario of how it wouldn’t work and maybe they shouldn’t be able to see inside. Miike Casey offered a different perspective though, he thought that maybe it was time to show the truest colors of the “Castle J vibe,” but more news on that soon.

Adding more to the meeting, MC talked about expanding his horizons in the upcoming “#4: Winds to Constellation Journal” and “#5: The Frozen Here In Time Journal.” Pen McNamey offered how he’s still in the midst of testing a new game but it should be ready soon. Then, M Monroe Casey talked about how his newest story, “#9: Broken Glass” will be coming out on October 11th, 2025.

With all of these exciting changes within our walls, it’s a lot to look forward too. A few new journals, a story and eventually a game too will all be coming soon but until then, we shall fight on in our unified and justified war against the forces of boredom.

See you soon,

Castle Johnson Publishings

Oct. 2025 = A Reveal

We, the Knights of Castle Johnson, have once again gathered for our monthly meeting to discuss how things are going within our ranks. After the recent decision to “open our walls,” more, I have a confession to make. I, your fearless leader Mike Casey, am also Mike Cassy. I am the owner, founder, operator, planner and dreamer of Castle Johnson Publishings.

Gasp.

Yes, I know it may come as a shock, but it is the truth, my wonderful readers and fellow dreamers. In terms of our other less dramatic updates, MC has announced that he finished “#4: Winds to Constellations” and he is in the process of finishing #5: “Frozen Here in Time” before the month’s end, with new music coming after. Pen McNamey has been working on moving some of the older games into the Archives soon. Finally, M Monroe Casey has released #9: Broken Glass earlier in this here October with #10 coming up in December.

I am sorry if you feel duped by these changes but I have to warn you, the changes are still coming as the walls continue to come down. More names and masks shall disappear from within our mysterious borders as the realest version of our staff is revealed.

Until then,

Castle Johnson Publishings
